I'm back in NYC for the Summer. Had a great time back home. Expect much more frequent updates.
Also I'm going to add cell phone pictures now as well. Watch the tag underneath to check if it is.

Twylight Zones 04/13/2011

So a few weeks ago I started seeing all these old 70's cars being parked around the neighborhood. The other night I come home to Paramount Pictures trucks and crew setting up on my street...along with about 10 of those retro cars.

It turns out they were doing a night shoot right below our apartment on a movie called "Twylight Zones" by David Chase of The Sopranos. My roommate and I watched a few of the scenes being shot at around 2-3 in the morning and it was pretty cool. Also, as a bonus for having our apartment face the street they were shooting on, we were paid to keep our lights on all night for the shoot. Thanks Paramount.

On Saturday I took my first trip ever up to the campus of Columbia University. Honestly, the campus was pretty great. For anyone who went to some random liberal arts school over Columbia (-Harvard or Yale), you're an idiot. It's not up to par with Princeton in terms of beauty, but the fact that there's this awesome community in Manhattan and not in the middle of a state nobody cares about, is impressive. This trip definitely made me more of a supporter for NYU 2031. Knock those buildings down John Sexton.

After leaving Columbia I walked down Amsterdam ave and came across this amazing church. There was a memorial service going on but still lots of people walking around just admiring the architecture.

Came out a little shaky and with some flickering but here's a general idea of the ride. HD version on vimeo as always.
